DataImporter can be used to import data in a presentation in PowerPoint. To do this, the presentation must be created with potential tables, charts, or text. DataImporter provides the features necessary to create the data source and afterwards merge it into PowerPoint.
To create a data source, you must name the tables and charts properly, while text and/or numbers should have angle brackets around the variable, for instance <<2017MedianSales>>.
When this is done, save the presentation and click "Create Data Source". This will create and save a data source (Excel file) at your desired location (local folder or a network share). In this data source file you can change the different values. If the presentation contains several named tables and charts, the source will consist of several sheets in Excel. Text/number variables will always be on the first sheet.
When data has been changed and saved in the source file, you can update a specific slide or the entire presentation.
